Portfolio
Been scrambling to put my portfolio together for Disney Interactive this week so I wasn't able to do much animation for the game. I'll be at the play testing on Saturday though.

Celebratory Animation
Although it won't be in the game today, I've been working on a celebratory animation for when the player wins the game. The animation is almost complete and should be something fun to throw in at a later time.

Some animation tweaking
I haven't been able to put a lot of effort into the game over the weekend. Just some animation tweaking trying to get them to work perfectly in the game. It's been tough the past week because I'm trying to meet a deadline with Animation Mentor and my multi character dialogue shot.

Animations Complete
For the most part all of the character animation for the game is now complete. I have organized our animations into a specific folder, which now include all the creeps and players. I also created a generic creep leg animation so that if we want to add different types of creeps later we can do so. It's all just tweaking from here which isn't a difficult task.

Last Rig
Just getting started, on finishing up the last character rig for our game. Unfortunately I just haven't had much time in the past week to contribute much to the game due to other classes. I'm going to try and get back to work on the game here shortly though.

More Animation to come
Haven't had much of a chance to do animation for the game in the past couple of days, doing animation for other things at the moment. At this point there will mostly be tweaking to the animation which won't be too hard. I believe I will start making other art assets for the team from now on.

Female Legs
So I have now completed the animation on the legs for the female character. It looks like we just have one more character to animate the run cycle on which is the FBI creep. From then on as far as animations go it will just be some tweaking.

Beta Version
And so begins the time of beta testing, should be fun, I have a few friends that are really interested in testing the game out. As of now I have the female leg model rigged and weighted now it needs to be animated, then I need to animate our new FBI creep...I mean minion. Anyway that's my status update. Peace. Love. Respect.

Fogot to Update Blog before Class
So as of today the game is called My Minions and Me
I really like the title, descriptive and cute.
Anyway for my part I have 5 animation cycles finished for the game, the main characters legs, both of the big creeps, and the main smaller creeps....ahh got to start calling them minions now.
Next comes the female model legs, FBI minion's run.

Animation, Animation, Animation
Now both of the big creeps are working in our model viewer and ready to be put in the game. The smaller (main creep) has been giving me some problems with the paint weights and is taking some time, however I really want to finish up the animation on him tonight.

One Liners....
So for the end of this sprint I've gotten our big creep rigged up, and with a run cycle, our main character is animated in the game now, and while it could use a little tweaking it is working pretty well. Along with that I did some extensive research on youtube to find 30 one liners for our main character (mostly schwarzenegger quotes).

On the brink of the final sprint
By next Tuesday I plan on having the creep character rigged and animated, the final character that will need animation is the big tank creep character. All of this will be done by the end of our final sprint. All the animations should be implemented into the game by beta.

Main Character Animation
So after some discussion with the art team, we have decided to animate the legs separate from the body of the main character and add the top half in the code. Here is a still of our animation working in our model viewer.

Waiting on Assets
At this point with our animation, we are trying to figure out a way to have our character swivel while the player is running. The most intuitive way the art team has come up with is to animate the character's legs only and then put the torso on top of it in the code. I may just be animating a pair of legs from now on. Kind of makes my job easier in a way although I fear we may have problems using this method in the future. Just waiting on some finished models now. Then I can weight them and animate them.

Gettin back into it
I definitely neglected to update this earlier this week. After the long break it will be great to get back into working on the animations. The key for our team now is to finalize our pipeline so that we have no trouble adding new animations.
